A Pledge We're Proud To Be Part Of

It comes with absolute pleasure to announce we have now joined the incredibly empowering organisation, She of the Sea, as an official signatory after signing their Pledge to drive towards a diverse and inclusive yachting industry. She of the Sea was founded a couple of years ago by co-founders, Jenny Matthews and Natasha Ambrose. It was this year at the 2020 Superyacht Investor Conference where they launched The Pledge and the response has been astounding.

The Pledge is a commitment to work together to build a yachting industry where diversity is celebrated, regardless of gender or any other factor which unfortunately is often discriminated against. We’re extremely proud to be fully on-board and will continue to support both the vision and the goal alongside them.

2020 has brought a lot of challenges with it but even amongst the Covid-19 pandemic, She of the Sea have seen a very successful momentum build throughout the year and now have a total of 40 Signatories and 42 ambassadors, across all sectors of the yachting industry. Whether that is yacht crew themselves, shipyards, management companies, law firms or yacht suppliers like us, and it’s truly fantastic to see.

As we all know, the yachting industry has changed so much over the years. Whether that’s the size of the yachts forever increasing, the roles and job opportunities on board, the volume and the uniqueness of yachting companies, it’s forever evolving. She of the Sea are not only dedicated to making this industry more inclusive for today’s individuals, but for the future generations. We are so excited to be part of this amazing step forward to making the yachting industry equal for everyone.

Having achieved so much already, this is just the beginning for She of the Sea. They will soon be introducing their Annual Report to show just how much of a difference they are making, as well as their Membership Platform which will provide Yachting professionals with exclusive access and opportunities to reach their highest potential.

We’re over the moon to be a part of the She of the Sea community and we sure are excited to see what changes the future holds.
