Supporting Wetwheels South West

We’re super pleased to have recently helped a brilliant local charity. The Wetwheels Foundation provides the opportunity and confidence for disabled participants, including those with profound and complex disabilities, to access the sea in a safe, stimulating and rewarding way on board specially built, fully accessible powerboats.

With boats already in operation across many parts of the country, including Yorkshire, Dover, Portsmouth, Hamble and Jersey, Wetwheels has now opened a base in the Falmouth, Wetwheels South West, where a new boat was launched in early September. Given the nature of our business and our desire to support such an incredible charity with an amazing purpose, we were honoured be given the chance to supply some goods to the vessel.

The boat, built by Cheetah Marine on the Isle of Wight, features wheelchair access with a ramp to the steering position and adapted steering controls to suit people with reduced mobility. It has space for family, friends, and carers to share the experience with disabled participants so that everyone has the chance to experience the excitement of power boating.
