We’re delighted to announce we are now official sponsors for the amazing organisation Young Professionals in Yachting United Kingdom (YPY).
As the organisation continues to grow, we’re excited to be joining and supporting YPY through their journey of providing young yachting professionals with a comfortable and educational environment which nurtures those to learn and succeed.
Who are YPY?
Young Professionals in Yachting is a non-profit organisation which has been formed to unite and educate the yachting community.
The association originally started in Fort Lauderdale in 2009 and has expanded to now include representation in Monaco, London, The Netherlands, Germany, and New Zealand.
Membership is limited to professionals working in the industry at a land-based entity aged between 21 and 40. Members are made up of various interesting roles and positions within the industry, including brokers, designers, lawyers, editors, and more.
What do YPY do?
YPY bring their members together by hosting a series of events throughout the year. All events have an educational or social component such as leading industry guest speakers, panel discussions or a networking day/evening to connect with peers.
Why do they do it?
Many young yachting professionals believe the yachting industry is established and can therefore be tough to break into.
So, what is YPY’s goal? To challenge this by supporting and connecting young yachting professionals through sharing knowledge, nurturing long-lasting relationships and expanding professional networks.
We’re over the moon to be supporting such a dedicated and enthusiastic organisation, especially when we are huge fans of YPY's vision and goals.
We love helping people, and we would love to help young professionals today in any way we can, so they are better the next day.
