Global Services become Official Supply Partner to the J Class Association

Global Services, the leading marine procurement company, are delighted to announce a new partnership with the J Class Association as Official Supply Partner.

For 24 years, Global Services have been sourcing goods for all types of vessels worldwide and their expertise has made them the supplier of choice for the J Class, the most historic and iconic of marine associations.

The J Class has its roots in the oldest sporting race in the world, The America’s Cup. The J Class Association was founded in 2000 to protect the interests of the Class, present and future. Class Secretary, Louise Morton, said: “The J Class Association is very pleased to confirm this new partnership with Global Services. The J Class is now looking ahead to the 2021 J Class regatta in Auckland, New Zealand which will form part of the 36th America's Cup celebrations, and so having a partner on board like Global Services, with their global network and excellent service record, will really benefit our owners.”

Global Service’s Head of Yachting, Matt Redstone, commented; “This partnership is a great opportunity for Global to support even more J Class vessels. We are very excited to support the whole fleet and their crews. As the fleet travel all over the world, it makes sense for them to have a supplier with the reach of Global.

The J Class, which today comprises nine boats, has an annual calendar which in 2020 will be highlighted by the Caribbean sailing season. In 2021, five boats are expected to compete at the high-anticipated J Class event in Auckland, to celebrate the return of the America’s Cup to Kiwi shores.
