Good luck to the founder of Global Services, Richard Gardiner, as he and 4 others take part in a gruelling 100 mile bike ride in London, to raise money and awareness for Diabetics UK charity.
As a team of 5, 3 of them Type 1 Diabetics and two Hairy Cyclists, they will partaking in the Prudential Ride London.
The Ride London is a 100 Mile bicycle ride taking place on the 4th of August, departing from the Olympic Stadium in London, travelling out to the Surrey Hills, tackling the famous Box Hill and Leith Hill, returning through London to the finish line on the mall in front of Buckingham Palace.
Their team are at best described as novices, ranging from some who bought a bike for this and their most experienced team members who occasionally cycle to work. It’s fair to say then that it will be a challenge...
Riding for Diabetes UK is a charity that is close to all of their hearts. It has impacted all of their lives with three of them having type 1 diabetes. The challenge provides a wonderful opportunity to raise money to help with the treatment, research and support for other Diabetics. It also gives them the chance to prove that Diabetes is no barrier to challenges such as these.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read about their page. Stay posted as they will be posting updates as they get in shape and train, and of course of the event itself.
All money donated goes straight to Diabetes UK so please be generous!
