Huge congratulations to our friends at Red Funnel on the latest addition to their fleet, Red Kestrel. The 74m motor vessel is constructed specifically as a freight ferry and will provide 265 lane metres of roll on-roll off freight capacity. She’ll provide this additional freight capacity for Red Funnel’s Southampton to East Cowes route, a route that currently handles 53% of all freight movement over the Solent.
We’re very much looking forward to seeing Red Kestrel in action when official operation starts in May 2019. With our procurement office located in Southampton and our sister company SMS located in Southampton, it’s great to see new vessels in the local area.
